Ungaro’s owner Asim Abdullah is looking for a new talent since Estrella Archs, the Spanish designer who joined the French House last year, is leaving her position as Head of Design to concentrate on her own label she created in 2007.
Since Emanuel Ungaro sold his brand in 2005, the fashion house has experienced difficulties in finding the right designer. Entrepreneur Asim Abdullah and president of the company, Mounir Moufarrige, tried their best to replace the legendary designer and also to give great visibility to the aging brand.

The Italian designer has launched a limited edition of Andy Warhol “creation” Brogue.
Back in the eighties Warhol wore Salvatore Ferragamo’s Brogues and of course the pop art icon was working and painting in them at his studio; hence they became speckled and splattered in paint.
These classical brown shoes for men were the only ones that the designer created before passing away in 1960.
The Brogue shoes worn by Warhol became the property of the Ferragamo family when the members won the auction organized by Christie’s almost 20 years after the artist’s death, in 2006.

After lending her image to fashion designers for more than two decades, supermodel Claudia Schiffer says she is now ready to create her own fashion business, which could include cashmere wares and handbags.
The 39-year-old-German born model on Tuesday said she was looking to give her life a new direction and was on the lookout for partners to back the launch of her brand.
“I would love to create my own lines now,” Schiffer told a luxury conference in Berlin organized by the International Herald Tribune. “I want the brand to be timeless and classic, with a fashion sensibility.”
