Baumer & Mercier iléa ladies watch from the new 2008 collection

Released during this year’s edition of the private Salon de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva, the latest watch creation iléa from Baume & Mercier has been designed by women for women. Linking back to the curves of a woman, the sensually round luxury ladies wristwatch is the ultimate expression of time in the feminine mode. Declined in three models with polished steel and satin-brushed surfaces, the new iléa line comprises a gem-set version, partially gem-set version and a smooth version.

Pictured below is the partially gem-set version in a combination of diamonds and steel. Daintily sculpted at 12 and 6 o’clock, the bezel features an harmonious play on perspectives by merging seamlessly into the curve of the bracelet. Highlighting the silhouette of this eminently feminine model are raised edges of the bezel gem-set at 3 and 9 o’clock with diamonds totalling 0.34 carats. The oval mother-of-pearl dial, graced with a finely guilloché “Curve” motif, accentuates the flowing lines and understated elegance of the timeless design of this luxury ladies wristwatch. In an ultimate touch of refinement, the crown is discreetly adorned with an offset diamond of 0.02 cts.

Baume & Mercier iléa ladies watch partially gem-set

The new iléa ladies wristwatches bear a Quartz movement and have a water resistance up to 30 meters. Medium sized the iléa watch models have a 30 mm case and a polished satin-finished steel bracelet with a triple folding buckle.
